This is the official website of the East European Digital Radio Mondiale (DRM) Platform. But this does not mean that the organization is limited to East Europe only. The platform is open for every organization in the East European or Eurasian region including Bulgaria, Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland, Romania, Russian Federation, and Slovakia, Belarus, Moldova, Ukraine; Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Macedonia, Serbia and Montenegro; Kosovo; Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania; Armenia, Azerbaijan, Georgia; Kazakhstan; Abkhazia, Artsakh, South Ossetia, Transnistria, Luhansk, Donetsk; Turkey, Kirgistan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan; Greece, or even Israel.
DRM is the world's only open standard, digital system for short-wave, medium-wave/AM and long-wave as well as the FM Band and VHF Band III with the ability to use existing frequencies and bandwidth across the globe.
The The DRM Consortium is an international not-for-profit organisation composed of broadcasters, network providers, transmitter and receiver manufacturers, universities and others. Within this organization, national platforms have been set up to support the national development of digital radio incorporation the DRM standard, such as currently Germany, USA, India, Brazil and Southern Africa. The East European platform is the youngest regional platform within the DRM family.
